Did you know mothballs and flea treatments are pesticides? Injuries and illnesses that result from exposures to pesticides can be serious, however, they can also be prevented. By understanding the hazards of the pesticides that you use, you will be able to take measures to protect yourself and others. 

For the best learning experience, it is recommended that this course be completed using a desktop computer, laptop computer, or tablet. 

The estimated completion time for this course is 20 minutes. What you will learn and the estimated completion times are broken out below. You will receive a  Certificate of Completion within the course upon completion.

- Explain what what a pesticides are, how they work, and about the different types.
- Describe pesticide selection best practices
- Teach you how to read a pesticide label, including what the symbols mean and where to find more information.
- Provide you with information on how to safely use, store, and dispose of pesticides.
- Teach you about exposures, their sign & symptoms, as well as health effects.
- End with a short knowledge check.
- Provide you with a customized certificate within the course upon completion.
